Echo Bay Lodge

At our main base of operations at Echo Bay Lodge, we offer “Unlimited Vertical”. This means that you and your group can ski as much as you want to at the pace that works for your group. Whether you wish to ski a ton of vertical, or go at a more leisurely pace, your guide will choose the terrain and ski the pace that fits your group.

At Echo Bay Lodge, there will be a maximum of 3 groups of 4 skiers. The most important thing is for your group to ski/ride at the same speed. If you are booking as a single person or group of two or three, make sure to tell us what kind of skier/boarder you are, so that we make sure you ride with a similar group. There can be two fast groups in the helicopter and one group going at a more stylish pace, this will not affect the skiing program. Faster groups have the ability to lap other groups. The only factor in how much skiing you get is the actual pace of the helicopter.

At EPH we are not all about the vertical, it is about quality of the snow, terrain and the experience of being in the mountains. Your guides will choose terrain to suit your group, and we love to take you on fun pillow lines, chutes, or wide open bowls. Some days we may not pound up and down just to get vertical, we may spend our time skiing those intricate lines that are perfect for small groups, the same runs you always race to at the ski hill on a powder day.  We also have mellow lines close for the more stylish skier/rider. EPH guides will tailor your day to suit your group for the best possible skiing/riding experience.

Silver Star Mountain Resort

First time Heliskiing, want a taste? Or, do you want to go on a ski vacation with your family and also heliski on the side. Silver Star Mountain Resort is the perfect place to take your family skiing and be able to heliski as well. Silver Star is 1 hour from Kelowna International Airport and offers a wide range of activities; cross country skiing, tube park, skating pond, horse drawn sleigh rides, night skiing and numerous lifts offer a wide range of skiing. Silver Star’s charming village is full of great restaurants and bars, and there are many ski in/ski out options for accommodation. Silver Star Mountain Resort also has one of Canada’s finest snow sports school: a great place to get your ski legs back with one of their ski professionals.

New this winter, Heliskiing will run from Dec through April. The southern end of the Eagle Pass terrain is only a 10 min flight away. Day Heliskiing trips from Silver Star start at 6-8 run packages with a 5:1 guest to guide ratio. We fly right from the resort, a great place to start your Heliskiing career.

Sparkling Hill Resort

Crystal Powder Heliskiing operates from Sparkling Hill Wellness nearby Vernon B.C. Guests are shuttled via helicopter to Sparkling Hill Resort directly from Kelowna International Airport.

This luxurious private heliski/spa vacation is designed so that guests may bring their spouses for their heliski vacation and both can enjoy the many amenities of Sparkling Hill and the surrounding area. For many years, heliskiers have wanted to be able to bring their non-skiing spouses on their vacation. Finally, at Sparkling Hill, couples can enjoy a vacation together that includes Heliskiing, couples spa treatments, and more.  For more information on the spa and wellness centre, please refer to their website.

At Sparkling Hill Resort, you ski with a guide and tail guide, and we ski in groups of four, or two groups of 8 skiers/riders. Our terrain is a 15 minute flight from Sparkling Hill Resort. Should you decide not to ski one day, we can go check out some of the wineries in the Okanagan Valley, or after March 1, we can also go golfing.  Imagine Heliskiing in the morning and golfing in the afternoon! Or, maybe you would like to just fly into the mountains for a barbeque in the sun. The helicopter is yours for the week, and your guides and concierge are there to help ensure your vacation is the best possible experience on and off the slopes.
