Devin Janzen
Apres Ski Director- Bar Chef
Devin an Ontario native with a bad powder addiction, which has caused much strife over the last four years where he has been acting like a fish out of water working the bar scene in Toronto and Niagara Falls. In that time he has gained the crucial experience to know what it takes to run a party and entertain a crowd but always has yearned for that big mountain fun.
Prior to working the bar scene Devin Janzen attended Selkirk College in Nelson, BC, where he gained a diploma in Ski Resort Operation and Management, and attained that first hit of powder that has kept him searching ever since.
With the firm belief that your best day shouldn’t end upon returning to the lodge he is here to keep that energy going, and get everyone hydrated with only the best libations and creations.
Mike Greer
Bartender
I am an East Coast kid with a West Coast problem. Moving between Florida, Ontario and Nova Scotia led me to the mountains of BC.
Chasing dreams of fresh powder and big lines I moved to BC 4 years ago and can’t imagine going back. 19 seasons of snowboarding and 12 years of hospitality have let me to pursue backcountry dreams in Revelstoke.
Sara Baird
Head Server/Hospitality Director
I am from the west coast and grew up on Hornby Island, killing it on Mt.Washington for many years but once I got a taste of the big Mountains I haven’t looked back. After moving around a lot I finally decided to stay put in Revelstoke. I am here supporting my partner in his dream of becoming a back country guide, but truly enjoy all that this town has to offer like hiking, camping and being on the water with the company of our newest family member (Dog) Rambo. I hold a degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management and have been privileged to work at some of the most beautiful resorts in BC. I look forward to getting to know all the guests and staff members at Eagle pass and be part of another epic winter in Revelstoke.
Shannon Browning
Server/Housekeeper
I was born and raised not far from Revelstoke and, fortunately, my parents were ski bums. They got me started at the old age of two, at a local hill where Dad was an instructor. When I graduated I decided to follow in their footsteps and moved to Silver Star Mountain. I lived there for several years, working as Ski Patrol by day and serving by night at one of the local pubs.
I moved to Revelstoke two years ago and this is where I’m staying. This town has everything to fulfill my “adrenaline junky” habits. Aside from skiing and snowboarding, I enjoy downhill biking, playing guitar, and hanging out with my dog, Odin. This will be my second year with Eagle Pass Heliskiing and I very much look forward to sharing this paradise with all the guests! Let’s have an amazing winter!!!
Meagan Noel
Server/Housekeeper
I was born and raised in Southern Ontario but I am a mountain girl at heart. I was introduced to skiing in 2007 when I took my first trip to west to Golden, BC. By the next winter I had moved out west for good. Spending two years in Canmore/Banff area exploring the Rockies at Sunshine and Lake Louise and spending one year on Vancouver Island at Mt. Washington.
I am very excited to be in Revelstoke this season and will probably be here for many more. Revelstoke is the ultimate place for everything I like to do: skiing, mountain biking, climbing, hiking, camping, trail running – not to mention all of the backcountry opportunities available.
While out west I have been working in the tourism industry at several hotels, resorts and cafes. I am excited to be a part of Eagle Pass Heliskiing and can’t wait for another epic year of snow!
Katherine Whiteside
Server/Housekeeper
I am an Australian girl born and raised in Perth, Western Australia soon after leaving my hometown I moved to Tasmania where I completed studies in Tourism & Outdoor Recreation. I enjoy working in the Tourism Industry because it gives me the chance to meet people from all over the world who are passionate about wilderness and the outdoors. I have also recently completed an Environmental Science degree at University and I hope to return later this year to pursue some post-graduate study and a career in Environmental Management.
My main hobbies back home are kayaking, scuba diving, caving and surfing. I have swapped the surfboard for a snowboard this season and am working on improving my riding skills so I can keep up with my new seasoned local friends. For me it is a great privilege to work with such an amazing team of people here at Eagle Pass Heliskiing and I look forward to meeting each and every one of you when you come to stay at the lodge.
Jeni Gibbs
Massage Therapist
Jeni was born and raised in the flat lands of Saskatchewan where hanging out at the local rink was the main pass time for a prairie girl. But once graduated from high school, she took off to the Rockies to discover her passion for the mountains. In Lake Louise she spent her winters snowboarding and skiing and her summers hiking and rock climbing. With a desire to maintain a healthy lifestyle, she went on to study yoga on Salt Spring Island and massage in Vancouver. Once her studies were completed, she returned to Lake Louise to pursue her love of the outdoors again.
After a couple years of enjoying the close access to nature in Louise and saving money, she afforded herself a two year journey through Austral-Asia and the UK. Simply following warm weather and hanging out at world class rock climbing destinations. Now after an extended summer, she is psyched out of her mind to be back in the snow, doing her passion for work at the most amazing place she could dream of and riding the pow! Let’s bring on winter!
Claire MacDonald
Massage Therapist
Claire Macdonald grew up in a small community in the Rocky mountains called Dunster B.C. She spent her childhood running around the bush with her 3 brothers, and travelling the world with her family. By the time she was a teenager she began working as a seasonal treeplanter, and travelling to foreign countries to surf and rock climb in the winter. She began working for a heli skiing company when she was 18 and discovered her love of skiing. She went on to school to become a massage therapist, and a yoga and pilates instructor.
Claire has been living and working in Revelstoke for the past 8 years, doing what she loves the most, skiing, massaging, and teaching. She spends her summers back in Dunster in the strawbail house that she built, living off the grid and helping to create a sustainable community with her family. She works on organic gardens, making biodiesel, and helping with the music festival that her family puts on every year. Claire loves the mountains, and spends as much time as she can rock climbing, biking, hiking, skiing, iceclimbing, surfing, and enjoying life. She believes in working hard, playing harder, and contributing to a sustainable community around her.
