For this package we had an all-star international entourage. A returning Brit bringing along a friend, a son bringing his 77 year old father from France, a group of 4 close friends and epic synchronized skiing experts from Germany, an ever enthusiastic Steve returning from New York, and a trio from Switzerland.

The weather was stellar blue sky, and the guides ushered the 3 groups of 4 to some spectacular alpine bowls and chutes. Some new runs were claimed, including the now classic “Sweet Caroline”. This run starts on one of our loftier peaks, drops through an icefall on a glacier, and continues for 1,500 vertical meters (nearly 5,000 feet vertical). 77 year old Henri ripped off 21,000 meters in 3 days, including one day of 10,300 meters vertical (nearly 34,000 feet vertical). His first time heliskiing, and judging by the reactions, a dream come true! And Steve got to ski his favorite run that he named last year: “Unbelievable”.
