In the world of heliskiing, there are two approaches to how much skiing operators provide. These are: 1) Vertical Guarantee or 2) Unlimited Vertical. At Eagle Pass Heliskiing, our experience has taught us that a Vertical Guarantee works best for our guests—especially because we guarantee the highest number of vertical feet in the industry. With this approach, we share the anticipated number of vertical feet skied with our guests prior to their arrival. If they don’t ski this much, they will be refunded. If they want to ski more, they pay extra (the same amount they would have been refunded).

Our breakdown for Vertical Guarantee is as follows:

• 2 DAY – 9,000 M/29,500 ft
• 3 DAY – 15,000 M/50,000 ft
• 4 DAY – 20,000 M/65,000 ft
• 7 DAY – 35,000 M /115,000 ft

(To provide some perspective, 15,000 ft. is just slightly more than half way up Mount Everest)

We can’t comment on what works for other operators. We can say that this kind of a transparent, no-surprises approach has worked for our operation and is in keeping with how we run our business.
