Eagle Pass Heliskiing Ltd. Terms and Conditions

It is essential that each guest familiarize themselves with the terms and conditions and the information on our website. By submitting a registration form, deposit, or payment, you agree to be legally bound by the terms and conditions below:

In this document, “Heliski” or “Heliskiing” includes heli snowboarding, heli telemark skiing, heli “noboarding”, and heli access ski and snowboard touring.

1. Provider

Eagle Pass Heliskiing Ltd. (EPH, “we” and “us”) is the provider of all Heliskiing, packages, and services described in our marketing materials and in your booking confirmation.

2. Programs

EPH offers four Heliskiing programs:

A. Day Heli Program – Our Day Heli Program is based on “runs skied” and includes up to 8 runs at the price set out in your booking confirmation. We will make best efforts to provide at least 6 runs per day. If we do not, refunds will be issued in accordance with the policies below. Our additional 3 run package may be purchased when conditions and logistics allow, but only to complete groups of 4 guests.

B. Lodge Based Program - Our Lodge Based Program includes private accommodations at our lodge, all meals, and unlimited Heliskiing. We will make best efforts to provide a full day of Heliskiing on each day set out in your booking confirmation. We guarantee an average of at least 3,000 vertical meters of skiing per day booked over the duration of your trip. If we do not achieve that average, refunds will be issued in accordance with the policies below. This package may only be booked in complete groups of 4.

C. Hobbs Based Private Program – Our Hobbs Based Private program is based on chartering a private helicopter for the minimum flight hours on each day set out in your booking confirmation. Hobbs Based Private bookings are made on the following terms:

i. We will make best efforts to provide the minimum flight hours for each day of your booking. If we do not achieve that amount, refunds will be issued in accordance with the policies below;

ii. We will provide guides in the following ratios:

Guests Guides
3 guests or less 2 guides
4-8 guests 2-4 guides
8+ guests 1 guide per 4 guests

iii. Our Lead Guide will inform you when you are approaching your minimum flight hours each day. It will be your decision whether to continue Heliskiing beyond the minimum flight hours and you will be charged at the rate of $6300/hour plus applicable taxes for each portion of an hour (calculated in 6-minute intervals) by which you exceed the minimum flight hours.

iv. Unless otherwise set out below, you will be responsible for paying:

A. for each day of your booking, the greater of the minimum flight hours and the flight hours actually used;

B. for each guide booked, the Guide Service Fee set out in your booking confirmation; and

C. the Group Administration Fee set out in your booking confirmation (which will only be charged for each separate booking).

D. Unlimited Private Program – If you make an Unlimited Private heliskiing reservation, you are chartering a single private helicopter for the days set out in your booking confirmation to be used for standard Heliski operations with your group(s). We will provide guides in the following ratios:

Guests Guides
3 guests or less 2 guides
4-8 guests 2 guides
8+ guests 1 guider per 4 guests

We will make best efforts to provide a full day of unlimited Heliskiing on each day set out in your booking confirmation.   Weather, conditions, and available daylight all play a major role in defining a full day of Heliskiing on any given day. EPH will use discretion to define operating hours.  We guarantee an average of 3,000 vertical meters of skiing per day booked over the duration of your trip. If we do not achieve that average, refunds will be issued in accordance with the policies below.  If you have more than 3 guests in your group, an additional support aircraft will be supplied at the start and end of each day to expedite transferring groups to and from the field.  Although Heliskiing is unlimited in this program, any helicopter usage deemed by EPH to be unrelated to typical Heliski operations (such as sightseeing or switching guests) will result in extra charges at a fixed hourly rate of $6300/hour (calculated in six-minute intervals), plus applicable taxes.

If you fail or refuse to complete any of these steps, your booking will be cancelled, and no refund will be provided.

7. Refund and Cancellation Policy

A. Heliskiing is a unique experience that is highly subject to weather and snowpack conditions. These conditions are constantly changing and add an element of complexity to each Heliski day. We reserve the right to cancel a Heliski day, in part or in whole, for any reason, including inclement weather, avalanche conditions, operational emergencies, mechanical reasons, pandemics, or insufficient guest bookings.

B. Except as provided in these terms and conditions, EPH will not provide you with a refund or compensation for any expenses related to your booking or trip to Revelstoke, including airfare, car rentals, and accommodations. EPH strongly recommends that you purchase additional trip insurance.

C. While we try our best to group skiers and boarders by ability level, no refunds shall be provided if your group skis at a greater or lesser ability than you. Booking in a group of 4 is required for our Day Heli and Lodge programs to ensure consistent ability level.

D. All refunds are completed in Canadian Dollars via your original payment method only. Refunds cannot be applied to incidental costs you incur during your stay (liquor/wine/beer and retail purchases). No adjustments will be made to the refund to account for differences in the exchange rate between the time payment was made and the refund was issued. All refunds are subject to a payment processing fee of 5% of the refunded amount, which will be deducted at the time of the refund.

E. Full Cancellation by EPH prior to start. We may cancel your booking at any time prior to the scheduled start time (Day Program) or scheduled arrival day (Lodge Based Program and Private Program).

If the total hours flown equals less than cumulative minimum flight hours set out in your booking confirmation, no refunds shall be provided unless we have cancelled full days (as described above) or have used the private helicopter for operational requirements.

iii. If on any day of your program your minimum flight hours are not achieved because you arrive late for a Heliski day, sustain injury, become ill, decide to end your day earlier than the other guests or your guide, or are instructed to stop skiing because we (in our sole discretion) determine that you are injured, ill, otherwise not physically fir or able no refund will be provided, even if the minimum flight hours are not met for other reasons.  In certain situations, the included trip interruption insurance through our provider may help cover lost funds, but we make no guarantees to this effect

i. If your cancellation is confirmed by us prior to the first Monday in October, your Deposit plus applicable taxes shall be forfeited to us, and any other payment made by you will be refunded to you.

ii. If you cancel after the first Monday in October and did not purchase trip cancelation insurance, you may attempt to find a suitable replacement guest for your booking. iv. No refunds or cancellation will be available in the event that supplier surcharges are applied by EPH in accordance with these terms.

v. We may require you to participate in health checks prior to participation in your program, which may include checking your vaccination status, your temperature and requiring you to sign a legal declaration as to your recent and current state of health. We reserve the right to deem you incapable of participation in your program if, in our sole opinion, you do not pass our health checks. If we deem you incapable of participation, you will be deemed to have cancelled your booking at that time, and our standard cancellation policy will apply.

vi. Your inability to complete your booking due to reasons outside of your control, including without limitation travel issues, closed borders, and local viral outbreaks, is at your sole risk, and such inability to complete will be deemed a cancellation of your booking and our standard cancellation policy will apply.

vii. If you are experiencing the symptoms of any illness prior to a Heliski day, you must notify us immediately. You will be deemed to have cancelled your booking at that time, and our standard cancellation policy will apply.

viii. As our Lodge and Day Heli programs require complete groups of 4, if one member of your group cancels for any reason, we will deem your entire group to have cancelled, and our standard cancellation policy will apply.

We provide limited medical travel insurance as part of your package, and all claims require seeing a physician.  At time of injury, your seat will be deemed to be cancelled and our standard cancellation policy will apply. No refunds will be awarded for missed runs due to injury.

8. Insurance

A. In light of the refund and cancellation policies set out above, trip cancellation insurance is strongly recommended to cover for unforeseen circumstances that may lead to cancelling your Heliski trip before departure to Revelstoke. We do not provide such insurance but may recommend providers if necessary.

B. We will provide limited trip interruption insurance as part of your package purchase. All claims require you seeing a physician or presenting supporting documentation as required. A copy of the policy wording is available upon request. As soon as a claim is made, your seat is deemed cancelled and our standard cancellation policy will apply.

C. We will provide limited emergency medical travel insurance as part of your package purchase. All claims require you seeing a physician. A copy of the policy wording is available upon request. We strongly recommend you purchase your own additional medical travel insurance to ensure complete coverage during your trip.

D. You are solely responsible for any and all medical evacuation costs. It is our policy that all medical evacuees be taken to see a physician, at minimum.

E. Whether a claim is approved is at the sole discretion of the insurer. EPH makes no guarantees that an insurance claim will be successful or that any funds will be paid.

F. Should you make an insurance claim of any kind related to your trip, your Heliski trip is deemed cancelled and we reserve the right to fill this space with another guest, staff member or partner. In such case, no refund shall be provided to you.
